A Degree Built for the Future
Materials Science & Engineering + Data Science equips students with deep knowledge of material structures, properties and processing while tackling the unique data science challenges that materials research presents. Students learn to create advanced materials for applications like flexible electronic displays, drug delivery and clean energy systems. After two years building core competencies, students pursue advanced data science methods and focus on the area of materials research that interests them most, culminating in a data science senior design project that prepares them for industry, entrepreneurship or graduate study.
