Senior Lecturer Matthew Goodman of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The Grainger College of Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, will join a panel of experts this Friday, Sept. 4, from 12–1 p.m. CT for a free virtual roundtable exploring human-centered design in engineering education.
Hosted by The Grainger College of Engineering and the Siebel Center for Design, the discussion will unpack what human-centered engineering means and how instructors can bring it into their own classrooms. Goodman will share how he has applied the approach in materials science — specifically via the senior design capstone course he leads — and what impact it has had on student learning.
