Laura Nagel, undergraduate advisor at MatSE, recently received the 2017 Engineering Council Outstanding Advisors award. This recognition comes from the College of Engineering to honor outstanding advisors, but is even more special as the students are the ones who nominate the advisors who have made a difference in their time at the University of Illinois.
“It is very nice to be recognized by the students,” Nagel said. “They are why I love what I do.”
Nagel will be recognized during the Annual College Faculty Awards Ceremony on April 24 at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).
