Joseph Yasi, a Ph.D. student in Dallas Trinkle's group, has been selected to receive an Acta Student Award, worth $2,000, for his paper "First-principles data for solid-solution strengthening of magnesium: From geometry and chemistry to properties." The award will be presented at the MS&T Meeting in Columbus, OH, in October.
