Official Description
Stem Cell Bioengineering will provide a foundation in the application of engineering approaches for the quantitative analysis of stem cell biology and the translation of stem cells into therapies. There will be 4 main sections of the course; (i) Stem Cell Basics, (ii) Stem Cell Genetics, (iii) Stem Cell Microenvironments, and (iv) Stem Cell Applications. The course will be targeted for first year graduate students and senior-level undergraduate students. The course will use a lecture and discussion format to effectively present relevant information. Course Information: 3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: BIOE 476.
