Professor Kriven invited to EU Academy of Sciences

Professor Waltraud Kriven has been invited to join the EU Academy of Sciences. The EU Academy of Sciences is an international scientific organization, and it is composed of the world’s leading scientists, scholars and business people, aiming to promote excellence in science and technology. Among the most prestigious in Europe, there are many members in several countries all over the world, including Nobel Prize and Outstanding Scientists winners. 

"I am honored to join this highly accomplished group of people and look forward to continuing in our research and common interests in the basic science of ceramics and its environmental benefits.” Professor Kriven's research focuses on geopolymers (ceramics made at room temperature), low energy syntheses of ceramic powders and composites, as well as in situ high temperature X-ray synchrotron studies of ceramics to 3000°C. She is a member of the World Academy of Ceramics, and Fellow of the American and Australian Ceramic Societies.
